Heroes Work Here, 2024

Somewhere in Seattle there is a mailbox that holds a portal, one of an extensive network hidden across the city. If you peer inside, you will see an octopus named Postmaster Wanda sorting packages and letters inside Mailroom 113400. On the other side of the mailroom is a neverending hallway where the brave can venture to retrieve the contents of their post office boxes.

Heroes Work Here is an homage to postal workers.

I’m Lucky To Have Met You, 2025

Lucky to Have Met You is a miniature diorama art piece that shows a single Seattle dwelling across two time periods. The two halves—an apartment from the 1990s and a condo from the 2020s—contrast with each other to highlight the ways Seattle has changed culturally and socioeconomically over the past thirty years. The title is borrowed from the Nirvana song “Drain You” (Cobain, 1991), a nostalgic nod to an earlier Seattle.

“Substation” mock perfume Bottle for Seattle Seahawks 2026 Schedule Release, with PACKRAT studio

For the 2026 Seattle Seahawks schedule release video, PACKRAT Studio created a tongue-in-cheek mock perfume campaign spotlighting rival NFL teams as distinct colognes. I produced “Substation” representing the San Francisco 49ers — a playful prop that riffs on the running joke that the team’s string of injuries came from practicing next to an electrical substation.

The Werehouse, 2023-present

The Werehouse reimagines the tale of Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf in miniature, as a story about Red as an adult coming to terms with the wolf within. It is an ongoing and evolving project that began in 2023 as a dollhouse and is currently in the process of being rebuilt room by room as a series of standalone dioramas that together form a house. Each room represents a different stage of alchemical transformation towards a final integration.

The Haunted Books // Unhook Bad Teeths, 2025

The Haunted Books // Unhook Bad Teeths is a side-by-side diorama that contrasts daytime and nighttime versions of the library. During the day, there are hints to what happens at night when the lead librarian, an angler fish named Pearl, takes her form and everything comes alive with spooky denizens of the dark when the lights go out and the daytime creatures go home. The piece includes several word play anagrams and a few Dewey Decimal clues.

This piece was created as a special hidden fall display at the Mount Vernon Library Commons in Mount Vernon, Washington.
